Favorite Artists: When I was growing up I was a big fan of alternative rock. Nirvana was a big part of my life, playing their tapes in my parent's van wherever we drove. But at one point my dad told me that I needed to start listening to country music. When he said this, I told him he was crazy! I would never listen to that losing your wife, your dog died kind of stuff. But as story goes, when I was in high school I attended the Wisconsin Country Thunder. With all the pretty country girls in their cowboy hats, I became a fan. Haha. But, at the same time, the music really hit me. Before country music, I thought of music as just being something that you listen to in the car to keep you from being bored on your way to where you are going. But country music, with it's stories about life, can always hit home. So if it was a break up, a new love, or a tragedy, country music was there. Some of my favorites are Kenny Chesney, Brooks & Dunn, Craig Morgan, Blake Shelton, and Cash. So I guess now I can finally say to my dad, "You were right!"

Noteables: Joe started playing heavy metal drums in his teens with locally reknown heavy metal band, Restricted. Perhaps you still have the cassette. In the 90's, Joe shaped his unruly heavy metal hair into the coolest mullet ever and joined country music band, Southern Crude. It was nothing but country from there on out. After a short break from music to help his wife raise some babies (and hack off the mullet), he's back to rock the stage with Saddlebrook.

Favorite Artists: Dave Weckl, Buddy Rich, Dave Matthews Band, Kiss, George Jones, Johnny Cash and anything with a solid R & B groove.
